Beautiful and complete 1967 Modern Solo outfit No. 2R in *RARE* Charcoal Satin Flame finish. She is a 4-piece catalogued kit with 22/12/12/16 but with the matching snare making her overall a 5-piece kit. Slingerland always stood apart in their variety of finishes available; the beautiful Charcoal Satin Flame very rarely seen "in the wild" and even rarer to see one for sale.
What we love about this kit: the beautiful satin flame wrap and how it dances/dazzles under light as your eyes move around the kit, the completeness and originality of all the parts, the rarity of a matching snare drum, the wonderful sound. These drums were obviously well cared-for and we got them with the original leather bags, which are *included* in this listing. Be sure to listen to the video/audio demo using high quality speakers.
What's not to love?: As is typical with satin flame wraps, there are scratches and micro-cracking, but much less than in most other example from the same era. The interior of the snare drum has some cracking and chipping of the innermost ply which thankfully does not affect the sound or structural integrity.
